Hello everyone, my name is Skyler Paulsen and I am currently a sophomore student who attends San Diego State University. I am an Economics major and I also plan on minoring in finance. I am originally from San Francisco and have grown up in the city all my life.

I love to travel, go to the gym, go fishing, spend time with friends, and to get out into nature. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to travel to many places in my life, such as Mexico, Switzerland, Spain, Indonesia, and many other places. Being able to travel to various places in the world has broadened my perspectives on the ways I live, the things I value, and the cultures I encountered in my travels. I go to the gym on a regular and consistent basis, and I try to go at least five times a week. I believe the gym is a great place to become more disciplined in all aspects of life while helping yourself feel more confident.

I go fishing a lot, and I try to go whenever I have the free time to go. When I am back in San Francisco, I go with my brother to very interesting and remote places to fish, sometimes walking miles to a spot. The scenery of the places are great by themselves too, with redwoods and the coastline to view. Even without a car in San Diego, I still go out to the bay or nearby lakes. In addition, I like to spend time with my friends, whether it's exploring the city, going to one of the many beaches, going out to eat, or finding a cool location.

One of my favorite things to do is to get out of nature. Even if it’s a hike a couple minutes away or traveling a couple hours to a destination to see the scenery near the coast, being in nature allows me to destress and see the world in a more general picture.
